 
For
liver imbalances (liver qi stagnation, depressive liver heat,
effulgence of liver yang) Please avoid or minimize the
following foods or drinks which aggravate the
liver:
- Alcohol, coffee, excessive sour foods and
drinks
- Greasy, fatty, oily foods
- Spicy, pungent, hot foods
- Overeating in general
- Heavy red meats in abundance
For digestive weakness (spleen qi
deficiency, yang deficiency, dampness) Please avoid or minimize the
following foods and drinks which aggravate weak spleen
function:
- Raw salads, fruits and vegetables
- Sugar and sweets
- Cold drinks with meals
- Frozen or chilled foods
- Pork, Buckwheat
- Dairy products
Please eat all warm, cooked foods, plenty of cooked
vegetables, soups and stews. Be sure grains are well-cooked and
easily digestable. Eat smaller meals. Drink a teacup of
warm water, broth, soup or herb tea with each meal. Use
warming spices such as cardamom, fresh ginger, cloves, nutmeg,
orange peel and fennel.
For blood deficiency please eat plenty of
the following foods:
- Cooked leafy greens
- Regular small portions of animal protein
- Easily digestable grains
- Cherries, beets, grapes and raspberries
- Meat and marrow, broths and soups
- Black beans
- Orange and yellow vegetables
For yin deficiency please eat the following
foods:

Millet, barley, wheat germ, wheat, rice, seaweed,
micro-algae, tofu, black beans, kidney beans, adzuki beans, mung
beans and their sprouts, beets, string beans, kuzu, potatoes,
whole salt, spirulina, chlorella, wild blue green algae, lettuce,
kamut, lily root, cucumber, soybean milk, spinach, tomato, radish
and mushroom

Persimmon, grapes,
blackberries, raspberries, mulberries, watermelon, plums, pears,
strawberries, lemons and pineapple, kiwi and
banana (use banana with caution in case of Spleen Qi Deficiency
with Dampness).

sardines, sea cucumber, beef, dairy products, yogurt, cheese,
abalone, oyster, duck, chicken eggs, duck eggs, ham and pork
Foods to promote blood flow and prevent
stagnation:

Chestnuts, walnuts, crab, whitefish, chives, scallion,
onion, mustard leaf, eggplant, dark green leafy vegetables,
brussel sprouts, beets, turnips, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage,
carrots, peaches, lemons, limes, grapes, raspberries, seaweeds and
spirulina
